Emt Distribution executive wins award
Middle East-based emt Distribution, a leading international value added distribution company, has announced that its chief information security officer Erdal Ozkaya has received the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award.
The Microsoft MVP Award is an annual award that recognises exceptional technology community leaders worldwide who actively share their high quality, real world expertise with users and Microsoft, said a statement.
An official statement from Microsoft said: “All of us at Microsoft recognise and appreciate Ozkaya’s extraordinary contributions and want to take this opportunity to share our appreciation with you. MVPs are technology’s best and brightest, and we are honoured to welcome Ozkaya as one of them.”
With fewer than 5,000 awardees worldwide, Microsoft MVPs represent a highly select group of experts. MVPs share a deep commitment to community and a willingness to help others. They represent the diversity of today’s technical communities. MVPs are present in over 90 countries, spanning more than 30 languages, and over 90 Microsoft technologies, it added.
MVPs share a passion for technology, a willingness to help others, and a commitment to community. These are the qualities that make MVPs exceptional community leaders. MVPs’ efforts enhance people’s lives and contribute to our industry’s success in many ways. By sharing their knowledge and experiences, and providing objective feedback, they help people solve problems and discover new capabilities every day, it further stated.
Ozkaya said: “Being part of Microsoft conferences and user groups for over several years has lent me a great opportunity to increase my knowledge and understanding of technology, its applications and usability besides interacting with peers in the community. It is an honour to be recognised on such a global platform.”
Mohammad Mobasseri, CEO at emt Distribution, said: “Ozkaya is a through professional whose work enriches not just our organisation but also our customers. His contribution to Microsoft community worldwide has been commendable and we take pride in congratulating in winning such an achievement.
“This recognition supports emt’s vision and help our company gain more momentum in the region,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
