Who Am I ?
I’m a Chief Information Security Officer with over 25 years of hands-on experience protecting organizations from evolving cyber threats—while aligning security with business goals and resilience.
Along the way, I founded and built a successful IT training and cybersecurity consulting business, which I later sold. That experience shaped my approach to security—rooted in entrepreneurship, client trust, and the real-world impact of upskilling teams. It taught me that cybersecurity isn’t just about firewalls and frameworks—it’s about empowering people and building systems that support growth.
I’ve also led security strategy for banks, government institutions, and global tech leaders—including roles as CISO for Standard Chartered Bank, cybersecurity lead at Secunia (Emt), and trusted advisor at Microsoft. These experiences gave me a 360° view of threat intelligence, enterprise risk, and operational security—across cultures, sectors, and scale.
What sets me apart is the ability to bridge the technical and strategic. I translate risk into action for executives and boards, while staying deeply engaged with teams on the ground—from SOCs to secure development.
Recognized by IDC, CIO Online, and NATO as a Top Technology Leader, I’ve also authored multiple award-winning cybersecurity books and spoken at premier global events like Black Hat, Hacker Halted, and Microsoft Ignite.
