Thank you Xcitium What Is Next?

After an incredible 4+ years as CISO at Xcitium, where I had the privilege of leading transformative cybersecurity initiatives, I’m now exploring new opportunities to drive innovation and help organizations navigate today’s evolving threat landscape. Thank you Xcitium: what is next? After building and maturing the security program, it felt like the right time to explore new leadership opportunities aligned with my long-term goals. I wanted to signal that I’m open to conversations and actively shaping my next chapter.

Beyond core CISO responsibilities, I also served as a global ambassador / evangelist, proudly representing Xcitium at major industry events and supporting business expansion across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. I gained valuable experience contributing to both internal team development and broader community cybersecurity awareness.

I’m grateful for my time at Xcitium and the amazing team I worked with.

Post from April 9, 2021 This week is my last week at Standard Chartered Bank ; while I am excited to join one of the worlds biggest Cybersecurity firms as CISO and Chief Cybersecurity Strategist , I am thankful for the tremendous experience SCB given me in the Financial sector . Thank you Bill Winters , Sunil Kaushal for being a wonderful leaders, Rola Abu Manneh , Dr Boutros Klink , your support as CEO’s was always highly appreciated; Ferdie Pieterse one of the best managers I ever had , Our Group CISO Yuval Illuz and whole TDR team , my team but especially Ahmed, Hala and the rest of the team which I could not add to this post , Thank you Standard Chartered Bank. Thank you MicrosoftToday is my last day in this wonderful company ( Microsoft) While I’m excited about joining one of the world biggest banks Standard Chartered as “Head of Information and Cyber Security “, there’s also a big part of me that’s sad to be saying goodbye to amazing co-workers . I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed our time working together, and how much I value the friendship You’ve shown me over the past 3 years and 3 months . In this short time, I had so many great things which made me proud like : – awarded as member of the Platinum Club (Circle of Excellence) – teaching internal Ethical hacking class for more then 1000 FTEs – delivering work shops in America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia ( yes in every continent) to FTE’s as well as customers – awarded by customers many times – working with many wonderful people Thank you Microsoft, Standard Chartered Bank here I come Dr. Erdal Ozkaya
