Windows Intune What made me consider using it as an IT Pro?

Windows Intune is a cloud service that helps you centrally manage and secure your PCs through a simple web-based console, regardless of whether your IT staff or end users are in the main office, at a branch office, or on the road. As an IT professional, here are five reasons you should consider using Windows Intune:

One of the biggest challenges in managing end users is their varied locations. End users can be anywhere when they need IT support. The Windows Intune cloud service allows me to centrally manage and secure PCs over the cloud through a user-friendly web-based management console. This includes difficult scenarios like non-domain joined PCs, PCs from temporary contractors, or quickly managing PCs from recent acquisitions.

Today’s business challenges also include multiple configurations, different Windows versions, licensing issues, lack of insight into PCs, and high infrastructure investments. The Windows Intune web management console provides all the tools I need to simplify my work. It allows me to manage all Windows updates, including service packs, protect PCs with Windows Intune Endpoint Protection against malware, set up alerts, monitoring, and policies, run hardware, software, and licensing inventories, and connect to remote desktops via Easy Assist.

A Windows Intune subscription also offers upgrade rights to Windows Enterprise with volume licensing and software assurance for me and my clients, enabling a standardized Windows environment at an enterprise level.

Deploying Windows Intune is easy than you think. All what we have to do is download the client agent from the Administration console or push it via Group Policy

WindowsIntune is scaling to the Enterprise over time without an existing solution; it will give us fragmented management solutions with highly distributed workforce.

The Asset Management which is included in Windows Intune is giving us a detailed Software Inventory, with an account wide and per computer list of detected software which is categorized through the Asset Inventory Service Catalog

The per- computer hardware inventory is listing the hardware in such a way that even gives details about the System. System Enclosure, BIOS, Processor, installed disks, NIC’s, even printers and etc.
